Description

  • Own day-to-day execution of the portfolio regulatory compliance program, including obligation tracking, evidence collection, coordination, and escalation of risks or issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve a compliance tracking platform with calendars, obligation registers, control owners, due dates, audit trails, and evidence repositories.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and enforcement trends from NERC, FERC, WECC, CAISO, CPUC, and related bodies, and translate them into internal controls and timelines.
  • Coordinate audit readiness reviews, documentation quality checks, evidence packages, and responses to inquiries, spot checks, and audits.
  • Track market participation, resource adequacy, telemetry/metering, outage reporting, and interconnection obligations across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Legal, Development, Investments, O&M, SCADA/controls, engineering, and finance teams to embed compliance into operating workflows and reduce risk.
  • Monitor asset performance metrics such as production, availability, curtailment, outages, BESS performance, and loss analysis, and support corrective action tracking.
  • Assist with PPA and market settlement review, meter data validation, invoice support, and variance analysis versus budget and forecast.
  • Manage contract compliance with contractors, O&M providers, OEMs, offtakers, and vendors, including notices, claims, warranties, deliverables, and reporting obligations.
  • Prepare recurring reporting packages for management, investors, and lenders, and maintain organized records in SharePoint or equivalent systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in engineering, environmental/energy, finance, economics, operations, business, or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, asset management, compliance/regulatory affairs, ISO/RTO/utility operations, consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience in utility-scale PV/BESS is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a compliance workflow or building tracking systems such as obligation registers, calendars, evidence repositories, or controls.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting and finance concepts such as budgeting, variance analysis, invoice support, and financial statement literacy is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience learning and using new software platforms; experience with Yardi, 3E SynaptiQ, Power Factors, Aevy, or similar APM/CAM/database tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with NERC and FERC requirements, with exposure to WECC, CAISO, or CPUC preferred.
  • Ability to interpret contracts and regulatory documents and convert them into clear internal requirements and deliverables.
  • Strong Excel skills, including intermediate or advanced formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and structured templates.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, SharePoint, or similar reporting, analytics, or document management tools is a plus.
