Description

Serve as a travel expert and guide for contracted corporate clients.
Plan domestic and international business travel that follows organizational travel policies and secures quality accommodations and transportation.
Interview travelers or corporate representatives to gather trip details and build cost-effective travel arrangements.
Use travel systems, airline reservation systems, hotel reservation systems, car rental services, Amtrak, and related tools to book travel.
Track and manage activity in operational queues, including Action, Error, and Cancel queues, in line with SOPs.
Process cancellations and reservation changes through completion and notify clients promptly.
Provide client organizations with updates on itineraries, local customs, passports, visas, vaccination certificates, and other travel advisories.
Research travel industry changes, trends, and offerings to keep advice current.
Maintain a high standard of customer service while completing travel arrangements accurately and on time.
Support other accounts or clients as a backup consultant when assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 2 years of experience arranging domestic and international travel.
Experience using the Global Distribution System Apollo and ticketing software.
Knowledge of a GDS, airline travel sites, and online booking tools.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly and apply them effectively.
Must be able to work remotely from a separate designated office at home.
