Description

  • Set the squad’s technical vision, roadmap, and priorities in partnership with engineering leadership.
  • Design and own scalable automation for package creation, test generation, validation, and image building.
  • Build LLM-integrated and agentic pipelines, including prompt architectures, evaluation loops, and quality gates.
  • Develop production Go CLI tools, services, and integrations.
  • Create testing, validation, and quality automation that improves customer reliability.
  • Mentor engineers and raise engineering quality across the team.
  • Collaborate with distributed teammates across the US, Canada, EU, and India.
  • Influence technical planning and direction beyond day-to-day implementation.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience designing and building complex systems.
  • Strong expertise in Go.
  • Experience integrating AI/LLMs for code generation, automation, or developer tooling; agentic workflow experience preferred.
  • Ability to design loosely coupled, scalable systems and make pragmatic architectural trade-offs.
  • Experience building developer tools, CLIs, or automation platforms.
  • Deep Linux and build systems knowledge, including apk, apt, rpm, Make, Bazel, and language-specific toolchains.
  • Expertise with Docker, OCI, container registries, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience shaping team roadmaps and priorities.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, autonomy, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Based in the US or Canada.
  • Experience with Linux distributions, production service maintenance, open source, software supply chain security, melange, apko, Wolfi, or compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, FIPS, or STIG is preferred.

  • Base salary range of $205,000–$231,000 USD.
