Description

Own the architecture of the shared scanning platform, including orchestration, verdict storage, and APIs.
Scale scanning across libraries, containers, AI agent skills, and future artifact types.
Build pipelines, metrics, dashboards, and feedback loops to improve detection coverage and precision.
Develop systems for reviewing, escalating, correcting, and bulk-correcting detections.
Build deterministic and AI-assisted artifact analysis and bring threat detections from research into production.
Develop APIs and services for investigating, enforcing, and appealing scanner findings.
Build backend services for policy management and enterprise-scale operations.
Operate the scanner in the customer critical path, including alerting, queue health, reliability guarantees, and incident response.
Mentor engineers and raise standards for technical design and code review.
Collaborate with Product Security, Product, Design, and go-to-market teams.

Requirements

Multiple years of experience building and operating production backend or infrastructure systems, with staff-level ownership and technical leadership.
Strong Go experience or deep backend systems experience with the ability to ramp quickly in Go.
Experience owning highly technical platforms serving multiple products or internal customers.
Experience with high-throughput, event-driven pipelines where throughput, latency, and correctness are critical.
Understanding of software supply chain security, malware detection, vulnerability management, or adjacent security domains.
Experience making design and prioritization decisions in technically complex, ambiguous environments.
Experience measuring and improving quality metrics such as false-positive rates.
Production deployment and operations experience, including reliability, observability, and incident response.
Experience mentoring engineers and conducting design and code reviews.
Preferred: experience with malware detection, static analysis, SCA, vulnerability scanning, package ecosystems, AI-assisted security analysis, sandboxing, eBPF, gVisor, seccomp, container isolation, cloud infrastructure, or Terraform.

Base salary of $170,000–$231,000 USD.
