Description

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation, and supporting schedules.
  • Run the close calendar and checklist, manage deadlines, and drive unresolved items to completion.
  • Maintain an exceptions queue for missing invoices, unidentified flows, and stale reconciliation items, and clear it consistently.
  • Keep accounting documentation audit-ready with complete evidence and support for material balances and transactions.
  • Own bookkeeping standards across all entities and manage intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, balances, and related-party documentation.
  • Lead crypto accounting and reconciliation across wallets, exchanges, custodians, networks, and tokens.
  • Classify crypto flows appropriately and maintain realized/unrealized gain and loss and cost basis schedules for reporting support.
  • Implement and maintain finance controls, compliance tracking, and coordination with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel.
  • Deliver management reporting, burn analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, and treasury/cash visibility reporting.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance operations with end-to-end close and reporting ownership.
  • Prior experience in web3/crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations is mandatory.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with IFRS/GAAP-level knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting and operating across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Crypto-native accounting experience, including wallets/exchanges, reconciliation, audit trails, and crypto-aware controls.
  • Strong documentation discipline and a high-integrity approach with audit-ready standards.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-ownership environment and improving systems while executing.
  • Excellent written communication skills for explaining financial issues to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience with Xero and Cryptio.
  • Nice-to-have experience with bookkeeping and compliance across the US, SVG, Panama, or the UAE.
  • Experience supporting audits, due diligence, or fundraising processes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with crypto accounting tools beyond Cryptio and/or blockchain analytics explorers is preferred.
  • Basic SQL or data proficiency for financial analysis is preferred.
