Description

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close across multiple entities.
  • Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, FX revaluation, and supporting schedules.
  • Run the close calendar and checklist, and manage exceptions through to resolution.
  • Keep documentation audit-ready with organized evidence and support for material balances and transactions.
  • Own bookkeeping and intercompany accounting across all entities, including reconciliations and balances.
  • Lead end-to-end crypto transaction accounting across wallets, exchanges, custodians, networks, and tokens.
  • Reconcile crypto balances and maintain audit trails using wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and exchange statements.
  • Maintain classification rules and schedules for crypto flows, realized and unrealized gains/losses, and cost basis where needed.
  • Implement and maintain finance controls, compliance tracking, and coordination with external accountants, auditors, tax providers, and legal counsel.
  • Deliver management reporting, burn analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury visibility across fiat and crypto holdings.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, or finance operations with end-to-end ownership of close and reporting.
  • Prior experience in web3, crypto companies, exchanges, or crypto-heavy operations is mandatory.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with IFRS/GAAP-level knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and operating across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Crypto-native accounting experience with wallets, exchanges, reconciliation, audit trails, and crypto-aware controls.
  • Strong documentation discipline and a high-integrity, audit-ready working style.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-ownership environment while improving systems at the same time.
  • Excellent written communication and ability to explain financial issues to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Xero is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with Cryptio is mandatory.
  • Bookkeeping and compliance experience across one or more of the US, SVG, Panama, or UAE is a plus.
  • Experience supporting audits, due diligence, or fundraising processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with crypto accounting tools beyond Cryptio and/or blockchain analytics explorers is a plus.
  • Basic SQL or data proficiency for financial analysis is a plus.
