Description

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for escalated client issues across server, networking, virtualization, and cloud environments.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems and document solutions for future reference.
  • Participate in and execute technical projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring completion on schedule and within scope.
  • Use the ticketing system to communicate with clients, manage schedule and workload, and compile detailed notes and documentation.
  • Answer client phone calls and provide timely external-facing technical assistance.
  • Contribute to and maintain internal documentation and knowledge bases to support team development and faster issue resolution.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and workflow changes to increase efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • Operate as part of the team responsible for ongoing maintenance, operation, and security of client systems.
  • Implement and maintain support tools and automation required to meet SLAs and participate in a shared 24x7 weekly on-call schedule.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in technical support roles, with at least 2 years handling Level 2/3 escalations and project work.
  • Strong proficiency with Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is expected.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalls, and familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and modern IT service management tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or CompTIA Network+ are highly desirable.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills with the ability to relay advanced technical information to technical audiences and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Service-oriented, collaborative approach with strong attention to detail, ability to plan work to meet deadlines, accept direction, and take the lead when needed.
  • Ability to work full-time (40–50 hours per week) primarily during Seattle business hours (Mon–Fri, ~8 AM–6 PM PST) with occasional after-hours work for emergencies, projects, and maintenance.
  • Must provide a personal Windows 11 computer and permit employer-installed security/management software; maintain consistent power and reliable internet.
  • Have a quality headset for VoIP and internet access of at least 30 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload; dual monitors/screens are highly recommended.
