Description

  • Build and improve AML frameworks, virtual asset compliance strategies, sanctions programs, risk assessments, transaction monitoring, and investigation processes.
  • Advise financial institutions and VASPs on virtual asset compliance, regulatory expectations, and blockchain-related financial crime risks.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into practical compliance guidance and product requirements.
  • Serve as MLRO or support the designated MLRO with suspicious activity reviews and regulatory reporting, where applicable.
  • Partner with product, engineering, business development, regulators, law enforcement, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strengthen CertiK’s internal compliance capabilities and support responsible business growth.
  • Explain blockchain risk and compliance controls to banks, exchanges, government stakeholders, and clients.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as an MLRO, Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Financial Crime, or in a comparable senior compliance role.
  • Experience working with both traditional financial institutions and virtual asset service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of AML, financial crime, sanctions, transaction monitoring, regulatory reporting, and virtual asset risks.
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics, KYT, wallet screening, or comparable on-chain compliance tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • CAMS certification or an equivalent AML qualification.
  • Experience owning an AML program for a regulated entity, VASP licensing, regulatory examinations, or remediation preferred.
  • Established relationships with regulators, law enforcement, banks, exchanges, or virtual asset industry participants preferred.
  • Ability to work in the United States with required employment eligibility verification.

Benefits

  • U.S. annual base salary of $150,000–$220,000.
  • International compensation determined by location, experience, and qualifications.
