Description

Directly manage and develop a team of hourly production associates in an Inspection Center.
Manage the safe movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center for repairs.
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production goals.
Oversee day-to-day team activities and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide coaching, development, performance management, and feedback to team members.
Create a positive team environment that supports communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Review and approve mechanical and physical defects in incoming inventory.
Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to determine whether inventory should be repaired or rejected.
Train production associates on quality control standards and repair processes.
Ensure repairs are completed effectively and efficiently the first time to minimize rework and delays.
Promote safe work practices and reduce the risk of injury in the shop.
Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Experience using computers.
Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in a shop environment.
Ability to work in conditions that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, or include fumes and odors.
Use of required safety equipment, including face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and protective garments.
Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and resolve complex issues with guidance.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
