Description

Manage the movement of vehicles into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly inventory production goals.
Oversee day-to-day team activities and identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities.
Coach, develop, and manage performance for assigned associates, providing feedback and support.
Create a positive team environment that promotes communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Review and approve mechanical and physical defects on incoming inventory.
Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to decide whether to repair or reject vehicles based on repair cost and quality.
Train production associates on quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and reduce re-checks.
Promote safe work practices and help reduce injury risks in the shop.
Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience using computers.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to work in environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, wet, or contain fumes/odors from vehicle maintenance.
Use of required safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and protective garments.
Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and concisely in both written and verbal form.
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and resolve complex issues with guidance.
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
Background check required; role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
