Description

  • Develop and maintain user manuals, guides, online help content, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into accessible content.
  • Create technical specifications, training materials, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Manage documentation projects from planning and drafting through editing, publication, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Update documentation based on system changes, user feedback, and release cycles.
  • Support usability testing to ensure documentation meets end-user needs.
  • Communicate documentation updates, findings, and project status to stakeholders and business users.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in technical writing, documentation development, or content management in a technical environment.
  • Experience developing documentation for software systems, processes, or enterprise applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, documentation structuring, and quality-assurance skills.
  • Ability to manage documentation lifecycles from draft through publication and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in government or government contractor environments (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Confluence, SharePoint, or similar documentation platforms; knowledge of SDLC or Agile environments (preferred).
  • Experience with sensitive or classified information, graphic design or multimedia tools, or creating diagrams and process flows (preferred).
