Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT Engineers, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex IT Engineering and Helpdesk issues.
  • Own delivery of IT Engineering projects, including planning, prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Drive systemic improvements to eliminate recurring issues and improve the user experience.
  • Oversee administration and optimization of identity and access management, endpoint management, and SaaS platforms.
  • Ensure onboarding and offboarding workflows are scalable, secure, and compliant.
  • Partner with Security, Engineering, and Business teams to define and enforce standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate, select, and deploy new technologies and software solutions.
  • Establish and maintain documentation, processes, and operational standards.
  • Support automation and efficiency through scripting and process improvement.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and support off-hours coverage as needed.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in IT engineering, systems administration, or platform ownership roles.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers across multiple experience levels.
  • Strong background in identity and access management, including SSO platforms such as Okta, OneLogin, or Auth0.
  • Experience with endpoint management and MDM solutions such as Intune or equivalent.
  • Experience with SaaS application administration and deployment, including Office 365 administration as an SME.
  • Experience managing onboarding and offboarding workflows in a distributed environment.
  • Experience supporting Mac hardware and remote users in a distributed workforce.
  • Experience leading IT projects and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as Jira Service Desk or similar platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar preferred.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead incident response and serve as a senior escalation point for critical issues.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, access controls, and audit/compliance considerations.

Benefits

  • Remote work for non-local employees or hybrid work for candidates local to the NYC or Denver, CO area.
  • Base salary range of $95,200–$150,000 for remote U.S. hires.
  • Base salary range of $120,000–$150,000 for New York, NY hires.
  • Base salary range of $110,000–$137,500 for Denver, CO hires.
