Description

  • Lead the development, assembly, and quality oversight of technical documentation for large or multiple projects.
  • Manage and monitor integrated quality review processes across all disciplines.
  • Coordinate with project and firm leaders on project status, risks, and critical information.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous proactive quality engagement.
  • Schedule and coordinate staffing and support for quality reviews and quality process activities.
  • Guide the project quality plan, phase milestone reviews, pinups, and technical charettes.
  • Review phase document planning and guide the cartooning process.
  • Ensure firm technical document standards and CA policies are implemented.
  • Guide coordinated three-dimensional solutions across technical documentation and construction phases.
  • Support project decision-making and develop technically sound design solutions.
  • Guide Project Architects through life safety, building code, and energy code analysis and compliance.
  • Monitor coordination among in-house teams and external consultants.
  • Track project metrics and report potential risks early.
  • Align the project manual with the drawings.
  • Participate in business development and collaborate with project managers, marketing, and office leadership.
  • Contribute institutional knowledge and write technical articles on quality-related topics.
  • Mentor project staff and support a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • 12+ years of related professional experience required.
  • 5 years in increasingly responsible roles in construction documentation on institutional and/or education projects required.
  • 3+ years in a responsible role in construction administration on large institutional and/or education projects required.
  • Experience leading technical aspects with production teams on large, complex projects over $200M in construction costs required.
  • Experience designing, documenting, coordinating, and administering significant education projects required.
  • Expertise in education codes and standards required.
  • Current Architectural Registration in the United States required.
  • Ability to obtain Architectural Registration in Arkansas strongly preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Experience leading large, complex, or multiple projects required.
  • Strong subject matter expertise and business acumen required.
  • Strong focus on quality and technical leadership with knowledge of building codes and requirements required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with client-facing ability required.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to build rapport with project teams and clients required.
  • Familiarity with Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software required.
  • Travel required.
