Description

  • Participate in project team planning sessions and take a lead role when needed.
  • Assume project engineering responsibilities and help meet financial and work goals.
  • Initiate project designs and develop design goals and systems for building construction.
  • Design electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunications, in compliance with applicable codes.
  • Prepare construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and electrical equipment selections.
  • Perform quality control checks of engineering documents and system layouts.
  • Participate in value engineering sessions with the architectural and engineering team.
  • Recommend process and standards improvements to enhance quality, coordination, and production efficiency.
  • Review and markup shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and review change orders.
  • Conduct site visits, verify existing conditions, observe construction progress, and attend construction meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience in electrical engineering, with continued growth toward higher-level expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Experience with engineering design software, including Revit, AGI32, Visual, and SKM Power Tools.
  • Ability to work independently, think analytically, and contribute to process development.
