Description

  • Own end-to-end product design from early wireframes and user flows through to polished, production-ready interfaces.
  • Design experiences that reduce friction and build trust for users handling sensitive clinical information and risk assessments.
  • Translate complex clinical logic, AI outputs, and data-heavy workflows into clear, accessible, human-centred interfaces.
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system to support consistency and scalability across web and mobile products.
  • Lead or support user research activities such as interviews, usability testing, and workflow observation with NHS clinicians and patients.
  • Synthesize feedback from customer support, customer success, and clinical teams to improve the product experience.
  • Identify friction points and unmet needs across user journeys and present findings to the product team.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Commercial teams, and Clinical Advisors to deliver high-quality product experiences.
  • Work closely with Customer Success and Support to ensure product decisions reflect real-world clinical implementation needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on go-to-market assets and patient-facing content where design quality matters.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in product design with a strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX/UI work.
  • Experience in 0-to-1 product work or early-stage startups.
  • Ability to simplify complex, information-dense workflows into intuitive, human-centred experiences.
  • Experience in healthtech, diagnostics, or another regulated or clinical environment.
  • Highly proficient in Figma, including early-stage prototyping and component-level design system work.
  • AI-native workflow, with experience using AI tools to move faster and reduce repetitive work.
  • Experience designing for both web and mobile products.
  • Comfort working across both B2B and consumer-facing surfaces.
  • Deep empathy for users, especially those engaging with sensitive or high-stakes information.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design rationale across disciplines.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while balancing craft, pragmatism, and speed.
  • Familiarity with NHS workflows, EHR systems such as EMIS or SystmOne, or care pathway design is preferred.
  • Exposure to DCB0129/DCB0160, MHRA SaMD frameworks, or ISO 13485 is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA in regulated or public-sector digital products is preferred.
