Description

  • Own the design vision for the consumer-facing platform across mobile and web.
  • Design flows that reduce friction and build trust for users sharing sensitive information and navigating high-anxiety health decisions.
  • Translate complex risk assessment outputs and diagnostic pathways into clear, accessible user experiences.
  • Partner with C-suite, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver cohesive experiences aligned with business strategy.
  • Conduct lightweight user research and testing to validate and improve the experience.
  • Establish and evolve design systems, principles, and best practices.
  • Set the standard for design craft while balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Lay the groundwork for building and mentoring a design team over time.

Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of experience in consumer product design.
  • Strong hands-on UI/UX design experience in consumer-facing products, preferably in health tech.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts into intuitive, human-centered experiences.
  • Deep empathy for users and experience designing for sensitive moments.
  • Strong systems thinking with experience building and scaling design systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across disciplines.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs quickly.
  • Passion for using design to drive meaningful impact in people's lives.
  • Familiarity with behavioral science or designing for behavior change is a plus.
  • Experience working on 0-to-1 or early-stage products is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare, diagnostics, or other regulated industries is a plus.
