Description

  • Collaborate with Lead DevOps, VPE, software engineering and customer-facing teams to develop and operate infrastructure and applications.
  • Drive scalability, stability, reliability, operability, and security of BuildingLink products and services.
  • Define and enforce standards for deployments at scale, infrastructure reliability, and scalability.
  • Design and implement monitoring, measurement, and reporting for application and infrastructure health.
  • Manage the full software engineering value stream including build, integration, release/deployment, and reliability/performance testing.
  • Analyze platform usage and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the offering.
  • Perform rapid root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents of varying complexity and propose architectural or design changes.
  • Advocate for and grow DevOps competencies within the engineering organization through mentoring and leading by example.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with system design, algorithms, data structures, and systems analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, enterprise standards, and security.
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills and knowledge of scripting languages and object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Ability to perform quick root cause analysis and communicate processes and issues clearly.
  • Strong collaboration skills; able to work independently and in distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Customer-focused with confident decision-making in fast-paced environments and experience in startup or global distributed teams.
  • Preferred: 7+ years DevOps engineering experience.
  • Preferred: 7+ years working with AWS (EKS, S3, CloudFront, VPC, IAM, ALB/NLB, etc.).
  • Preferred: 5+ years using Terraform for AWS resources and 5+ years coding/scripting (Shell/Bash, Python).
  • Preferred: 2+ years using build/deployment tools (GitHub Actions) and 2+ years managing Kubernetes (Kustomize, ArgoCD, OpenLens).
