Description

  • Engage healthcare stakeholders to uncover ambiguous, high-value problems and convert them into buildable AI opportunities.
  • Map end-to-end business processes and identify where AI can reduce friction, cost, or decision time.
  • Build lightweight scoping documents and ROI estimates to align stakeholders before development begins.
  • Design and build AI prototypes quickly using Claude and the modern AI development stack.
  • Develop full-stack AI applications with LLM orchestration, RAG, agentic workflows, REST APIs, and lightweight front ends.
  • Own technical architecture end-to-end from prompt design through data pipeline and user interface.
  • Iterate on prototypes using real user feedback and drive solutions toward production quality.
  • Partner with the AI Governance team to harden prototypes into enterprise-ready systems.
  • Apply responsible AI practices including bias review, explainability, HIPAA compliance, audit logging, and model monitoring.
  • Participate in client business rhythm meetings and communicate progress through live demos and working software.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of healthcare industry experience in health insurance operations or health system clinical and operational workflows.
  • Proficiency with Claude (Anthropic) as a development tool, including use of the Claude API, prompt engineering, tool use, and agentic patterns.
  • Ability to build and ship end-to-end full-stack AI applications independently.
  • Proven ability to prototype working AI solutions in days from a business conversation.
  • Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to explain technical work clearly to healthcare executives.
  • Comfort participating in executive briefings, steering committees, and business rhythm meetings.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous business problems into scoped AI opportunities with clear inputs, outputs, and success criteria.
  • Quantitative fluency for ROI estimation and impact measurement.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen (preferred).
  • Working familiarity with HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, claims data structures, HIPAA, CMS regulations, and FDA digital health guidance (preferred).
  • Prior embedded, consulting, or startup engineering experience where you owned the full stack with limited support (preferred).
  • Experience shipping AI in a health insurance technology company or health system (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to reusable AI platforms or accelerators (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI governance, model risk management, bias evaluation, and enterprise responsible AI practices (preferred).
