Description

  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patching across Kubernetes clusters and in-cluster services to ensure stability and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including root cause analysis and participation in incident and problem management processes.
  • Address and remediate platform security vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with development teams on Kubernetes and infrastructure-related queries and requests.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents for large-scale production environments.
  • Support developer teams with operational questions and requests related to Kubernetes and infrastructure.
  • Contribute to automation efforts that reduce manual work and improve system reliability.
  • Develop dashboards and alerting in Grafana to improve observability and reduce MTTD and MTTR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing and supporting infrastructure in a public cloud environment such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong operational experience with Kubernetes in a production environment, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of Linux system administration.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
  • Experience working in an operational context, including incident management and on-call responsibilities.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry (preferred).
  • Experience with Kubernetes in-cluster services such as ingress controllers, Cert Manager, and service mesh technologies like Istio (preferred).
  • Software development or scripting skills for automation, such as Python, Go, or Bash (preferred).
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible (preferred).
  • Understanding of Agile/Kanban methodologies (preferred).
