Description

  • Build custom WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks using ACF or React, and plugins from design specifications.
  • Translate mockups into responsive, accessible frontend implementations using HTML, CSS/SASS, and modern JavaScript.
  • Develop and maintain Drupal themes, content types, and modules for client sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve frontend and backend issues across multiple CMS platforms.
  • Collaborate with designers, consultants, and clients to refine implementations and solve technical problems.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude Code to plan and execute aspects of large projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional frontend development experience with strong HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript fundamentals.
  • 3+ years of experience building and customizing WordPress sites, including Gutenberg blocks.
  • Working knowledge of PHP 7.x/8.x for reading, debugging, and extending WordPress and Drupal codebases.
  • Practical Drupal experience with theming, content architecture, or module-level development.
  • Familiarity with WordPress hooks and filters, MySQL, Git, and general LAMP-stack conventions.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating in remote, client-facing environments.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code.
  • Experience with React or Angular preferred.
  • Experience with Laravel or Symfony preferred.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Linux environments, AWS, or other cloud platforms preferred.
