Description

  • Build web services using Ruby on Rails and Python FastAPI.
  • Deploy software using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
  • Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle from ideation and design through deployment and monitoring.
  • Ensure application performance, security, and scalability meet high standards.
  • Create comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback on engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning, growth, and technical excellence.
  • Stay current with industry trends and help evolve the technology stack.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including code reviews, source control, build processes, and testing.
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code to deploy software.
  • Demonstrated expertise in writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Strong understanding of relational database systems, especially MySQL.
  • Proven experience in product development and translating business requirements into scalable, user-centric software solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Self-driven attitude toward learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for leading by example and fostering ownership and technical excellence.
  • Database administration experience, preferably with AWS Aurora MySQL, is a plus.
  • Experience integrating Electronic Health Record (EHR) data into enterprise software is a plus.
