Description

  • Lead multiple product engineering teams building multi-tenant enterprise SaaS for hospital customers, owning people, process, and outcomes.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing engineering culture by developing engineering managers, driving accountability, and creating clear paths for growth.
  • Partner with Product leadership to maintain technical health, manage delivery risk, and ensure products ship with quality and predictability.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration to improve reuse, shared ownership, and alignment across product and internal platform teams.
  • Mature engineering practices including planning, architectural decision records (ADRs), documentation, quality, and engineering metrics (delivery, developer experience, reliability).
  • Own and manage cloud infrastructure costs at the team and product level.
  • Lead or support integration of acquired engineering teams by setting standards, building trust, and accelerating time-to-cohesion.
  • Participate in technical and architectural reviews and set a high technical bar across teams.

Requirements

  • 12+ years building enterprise SaaS products, with at least 5 years leading engineering organizations through growth inflection points.
  • Proven experience leading distributed, remote-first engineering teams (20+ engineers) through engineering managers — experience leading leaders.
  • Track record of scaling engineering organizations: hiring, developing managers, building career frameworks, and managing performance with clarity and empathy.
  • Experience leading post-acquisition integrations and bringing acquired teams into a cohesive culture.
  • Strong operator who understands engineering metrics, can diagnose delivery problems, and implement fixes without micromanaging.
  • Ability to build deep, high-trust partnerships with Product, Data, and DevOps teams and navigate tension constructively.
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure costs at scale and comfort with AWS-first architectures.
  • High emotional intelligence with a track record of leading through ambiguity, driving change, and making clear, respectful trade-offs.
  • Nice to have: experience with data-intensive or event-driven architectures (Kinesis, Step Functions, Serverless), familiarity with AWS cost optimization tools (Cost Explorer, Savings Plans), and experience in healthcare or regulated SaaS environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred); must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship — role open to applicants in the continental U.S.

Benefits

  • Base salary range $190,000–$230,000 per year.
  • Position is eligible for an employer benefits package (described as an “amazing benefits package”); specifics not detailed in posting.
  • Fully remote role open to applicants located in the continental United States.
  • Final salary offer will vary depending on position level, experience, performance, and location.
