Description

  • Design end-to-end, low-latency service architectures on AWS.
  • Define latency budgets, durable hot-path commits, and outage behavior across system components.
  • Architect audit and evidence systems using append-only logs, versioned or bitemporal models, and deterministic replay.
  • Design secure multi-tenant data environments and select appropriate isolation strategies.
  • Design and build scalable RESTful APIs and SDK integrations.
  • Establish technical standards, conduct architecture and code reviews, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Create architecture documentation, diagrams, and architecture decision records.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions during client engineering and security reviews.
  • Develop capacity models and AWS cost and performance projections.
  • Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in an architecture-focused role.
  • Substantial experience architecting large, complex systems end to end.
  • Deep AWS experience, including low-latency architectures, distributed components, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience designing explicit p95/p99 latency budgets and synchronous durable commits.
  • Experience building audit, evidence, replay, fail-open, fail-closed, and degraded-state systems.
  • Proven experience with secure multi-tenant architecture, PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, and Row-Level Security.
  • Expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, scalable RESTful APIs, and SDK integrations.
  • Strong technical leadership, problem-solving, documentation, review, mentoring, and client communication skills.
  • Experience using AI coding assistants in daily development; event-driven systems, queues, and caching are preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and regulated-domain experience preferred.
  • Ability to overlap US business hours, with strong ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to team and client goals.
