Description

  • Lead data strategy for regulatory engagements, including ETL development, source data validation, and analysis.
  • Connect regulatory expectations and commitments to Compliance and Product roadmaps to influence strategy.
  • Use raw data to explain the impact of new regulations, policies, and environmental changes on the compliance program and Block platforms.
  • Collaborate with legal, engineering, and other partners to inform strategic development of compliance program elements.
  • Translate insights into action through strong communication and cross-functional alignment.
  • Educate, coach, and influence internal and external stakeholders using subject matter expertise.
  • Lead multiple high-impact workstreams and communicate effectively across levels of abstraction.
  • Quantify compliance risks and drive effectiveness of the compliance program.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6+ years with a master’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of compliance/AML experience.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Expertise in ETL development.
  • Proven ability to solve large, complex problems without clear answers.
  • Ability to define problems and manage projects in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
  • Experience presenting data through written and verbal communication and data visualization.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and polish.
  • CAMS or another AML certification is preferred.
  • Experience in fintech, consulting, or with financial crimes compliance systems, technologies, and processes is preferred.
  • Experience with automation using Python, R, or Prefect is preferred.
