Description

  • Contribute to scalable and secure data architecture design aligned with business and technical needs.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data sources and recommend ingestion, processing, and classification strategies.
  • Build and maintain data layers supporting batch and real-time processing.
  • Implement data validation and cleansing processes to ensure quality and governance compliance.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries across large datasets.
  • Support migrations from legacy systems to cloud platforms while minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor data workflows, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and recommend performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business teams to translate requirements into data models.
  • Apply data governance, security, and regulatory compliance practices, including GDPR standards.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools.
  • Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of batch and real-time data processing.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Willingness to stay current with emerging data tools and practices.
