Description

  • Define technical vision, architecture, and multi-year roadmaps for autonomy capabilities spanning RF sensing, perception, estimation, fusion, decision-making, navigation, guidance, and control.
  • Lead development of radar and RF signal-processing algorithms, including waveform design, beamforming, direction finding, detection, tracking, clutter mitigation, and electronic protection.
  • Serve as senior technical authority for architecture reviews, requirements decisions, trade studies, algorithm reviews, and technical risk resolution.
  • Establish end-to-end modeling, simulation, verification, and test methods, including RF scene generation, electronic attack modeling, 6-DOF simulation, Monte Carlo analysis, SIL, HIL, and field-test correlation.
  • Lead cross-functional integration across autonomy, software, RF hardware, avionics, embedded computing, vehicle systems, flight sciences, systems engineering, test, and manufacturing.
  • Translate mission and vehicle needs into requirements, performance budgets, interface definitions, algorithm specifications, verification plans, and success criteria.
  • Guide real-time algorithm implementation in MATLAB, Python, C, C++, DSP, embedded, and hardware-accelerated environments.
  • Engage customers, partners, suppliers, and executives on technical strategy, performance evidence, risks, tradeoffs, and test outcomes.
  • Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, recruit specialized talent, and improve algorithm development, modeling, verification, and test practices.
  • Support investment decisions, proposals, growth initiatives, and customer engagements by defining differentiated autonomy and RF capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related technical field.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in autonomy, radar, RF sensing, signal processing, guidance and navigation, sensor fusion, aerospace systems, robotics, or related fields.
  • Technical leadership experience architecting, developing, integrating, and fielding advanced autonomous, RF, radar, electronic warfare, avionics, aerospace, or defense systems.
  • Expert knowledge of radar and RF signal processing, including waveform design, adaptive processing, beamforming, direction finding, detection and tracking, clutter modeling, interference mitigation, and performance assessment.
  • Experience validating algorithms through high-fidelity simulation involving sensor and RF environment models, vehicle dynamics, 6-DOF simulation, and representative operational scenarios.
  • Experience translating mission needs into requirements, performance allocations, interface definitions, verification plans, and test objectives.
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB and Python, plus algorithm development or transition into C, C++, real-time DSP, embedded computing, or hardware-accelerated environments.
  • Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, and resolving cross-functional technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills with senior technical leaders, program leaders, customers, and executives.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; active Secret or higher clearance preferred.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes advanced adaptive signal processing, electronic warfare, laboratory and flight testing, systems engineering lifecycle methods, technical proposals, patents, publications, or recognized subject-matter expertise.
