Description

  • Work closely with developers and product managers to develop, test, and deliver high-quality products.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured automation test plans and test cases.
  • Prevent, analyze, and track product defects, including performing root cause analysis.
  • Perform hands-on automation testing and light manual investigation and reproduction of backend software issues.
  • Conduct investigatory testing of unreleased features, including defining requirements, behavior, and impact.
  • Design, develop, and execute full-cycle automation tests.
  • Test backend services such as APIs, databases, and distributed services.

Requirements

  • About 5+ years of backend QA testing experience.
  • Basic technical knowledge related to computers.
  • Experience with full-cycle automation testing, including designing tests, developing scripts, and execution.
  • Experience testing backend services such as APIs, databases, and distributed or non-monolithic systems.
  • Knowledge of Java and Linux, with the ability to write and review code.
  • Strong test analysis and test method design ability to solve complex quality problems.
  • Experience in Java unit testing.
  • Experience with manual investigation and reproduction of functional backend issues is preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, product-focused environment is a plus.
