Description

  • Own the end-to-end fulfilment process across warehouse partners, carriers, and customer support.
  • Manage 3PL and carrier relationships using SLAs, scorecards, escalation paths, and commercial leverage.
  • Design and ship AI-driven operational workflows that reduce manual work and improve visibility.
  • Build, test, and maintain automations using Claude, Make, Retool, APIs, and internal tooling.
  • Own the customer support function and improve CSAT and inbound contact rates.
  • Resolve operational issues directly by working tickets, warehouse workflows, and other frontline tasks alongside the team.
  • Stabilise, lead, and grow the existing 4-person operations team to 6-7 people within 12 months.
  • Document the operating playbook and create SOPs that make the business scalable and less founder-dependent.
  • Partner closely with the CEO, Board, finance, and engineering on key operational decisions.
  • Use data and operational KPIs to diagnose problems, prioritise improvements, and measure impact.

Requirements

  • Top-tier management consulting pedigree with strong structured thinking, problem-solving rigour, and pattern recognition.
  • Direct experience running operations in a high-growth environment and owning operational KPIs and a team.
  • Proven ability to work as a frontline operator in warehouses, customer ticket queues, and hands-on operational work.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Claude, Make, and Retool to design and deploy automated operational systems.
  • Strong SQL fluency, including joins, aggregations, and the ability to write your own queries.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment and building from scratch.
  • Analytical rigour with a habit of using data to diagnose issues and measure outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills for managing external partners and presenting credibly to the board.
  • Degree in engineering, science, or another quantitative field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce fulfilment, or supply chain is a plus.
  • Prior experience managing customer support, including ticketing systems such as Zoho Desk or equivalent, and Notion, is a plus.
