Description

  • Build and lead a world-class finance function that supports profitable scale.
  • Own P&L management, unit economics, cost control, and pricing discipline across clients, warehouses, and carriers.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, invoicing, payment cycles, and bad debt reduction.
  • Design and implement AI-driven workflows for accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Automate finance processes to improve accuracy and enable real-time decision-making.
  • Oversee compliance, governance, tax filings, Companies House submissions, and coordination with accountants.
  • Prepare board materials and support external financial reporting and governance needs.
  • Own the financial side of commercial strategy, including rate cards and payment-term negotiations.
  • Partner with the CEO/Founder and senior leadership on pricing, partnerships, fundraising, and growth decisions.
  • Establish a reliable P&L and identify key profitability levers within the first 90 days.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to use AI tools, such as Claude, to design and deploy AI-driven finance systems and workflows.
  • Strong financial foundation, with experience from Big 4, top-tier accounting, or equivalent background.
  • Experience thriving in a startup environment with ambiguity and rapid change.
  • Expert-level attention to detail and ability to manage complex pricing models.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero.
  • Self-starting, detail-oriented, and able to operate with a high-growth mindset.
  • Nice to have: a science or engineering-related degree.
  • Nice to have: prior experience in the logistics or e-commerce sector.
  • Nice to have: experience in Investment Banking or M&A.
