Description

  • Lead a small team of junior technologists in building prototypes and proofs of concept for early-stage product ideas.
  • Rapidly develop working software that demonstrates real business impact to clients.
  • Translate nascent ideas into product-ready software without fully formed specifications or features.
  • Own more of the product lifecycle than a traditional software engineer, from concept through delivery.
  • Collaborate with product and business leaders to solve complex business problems with software.
  • Evaluate, iterate on, and abandon technology approaches that are not working.
  • Shape product architecture and how solutions deliver tangible client value.
  • Work in short delivery cycles, shipping products in weeks rather than months.
  • Generate and develop solutions from ideas surfaced by different teams and organic ideation sessions.

Requirements

  • Strong background in software engineering and modern software development.
  • Broad exposure to different tools and programming languages.
  • Explicit experience using AI solutions for product development.
  • Experience building early-stage software products.
  • Experience working directly with product and business leaders on complex business problems.
  • Experience rapidly iterating on technology solutions to complex business problems (preferred).
  • Experience working in small, entrepreneurial environments (preferred).
  • Experience developing solutions for public healthcare problems (preferred).
  • Understanding of public healthcare challenges such as HIPAA and data inconsistencies (preferred).
  • Familiarity with opportunities in healthcare interoperability such as FHIR (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to imagine solutions, prioritize them against available resources, and decommission unfruitful efforts (preferred).
  • US Citizenship or Green Card only; no sponsorship available.
  • US residency for at least the past 3 years.
  • Ability to meet requirements for a Public Trust position, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation.
