Description

  • Lead and manage Product Managers, including performance management, professional development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Shape product operations, agile practices, and team processes to improve ways of working across the product organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define priorities, build trust, and drive progress in a complex environment.
  • Own product strategy planning across near-term execution and longer-term horizons.
  • Contribute to hiring initiatives, staffing models, job ladder development, and talent retention for the product discipline.
  • Support business development efforts and help create product management mentorship and coaching materials.
  • Guide requirements definition, writing, testing, acceptance criteria, and definition of done across the team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, transparent communication, and responsible innovation.
  • Lead or support teams working on data platforms, lower environments, and infrastructure products.
  • Champion inclusive team composition and healthy organizational dynamics through servant leadership.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a customer-facing digital Product Manager in a cross-functional agile environment.
  • Direct management experience overseeing other product professionals, including performance management and professional development.
  • Experience developing product team staffing models, consulting on job ladders, and leading hiring initiatives.
  • Prior professional services, government, or federal consulting experience in a client-facing role.
  • Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Expert knowledge of product operations and agile frameworks; SAFe experience or formal training is preferred.
  • Strong experience with requirements management, including defining, writing, testing, and coaching others on acceptance criteria and definition of done.
  • Superior relationship-building and communication skills across business, technical, and creative stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive progress in ambiguous or complex stakeholder environments.
  • Understanding of horizon one, two, and three product strategy planning.
  • Experience writing or editing product processes for government or commercial proposals.
  • Experience managing teams responsible for data platforms, lower environments, or infrastructure products.
  • 2+ years as a people manager on a remote team is preferred.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing small business or startup environment is preferred.
  • Experience building digital healthcare technology products and services is preferred.
  • Experience in the public sector or a highly regulated industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accessibility requirements is preferred.
  • Certification in or experience leading organizational change management is preferred.
  • Experience building and leading Communities of Practice for product management is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Green Card only; no sponsorship available.
  • Must have been a U.S. resident for at least the past 3 years.
  • Must be able to qualify for Public Trust clearance, including a successful U.S. government background investigation.
