Description

  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Manage and lead one or more software engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to align team work with product vision and business goals.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and career development support.
  • Drive efficient engineering processes and standards that enable team success.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, software development, and code reviews.
  • Participate in resource planning and recruitment to scale the engineering team.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and positive team culture.
  • Support modernization of CMS hospital quality reporting systems to reduce provider burden and CMS costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Databricks, Go, or Python.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and leading software engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time.
  • Demonstrated success in personnel management, including hiring, performance management, and team building.
  • US Citizenship or Green Card only; no sponsorship available.
  • US residency for at least the past 3 years.
  • Ability to meet requirements for a Public Trust position, including a successful US Government background investigation.
