Description

  • Monitor, analyze, respond to, track, and document SIEM alerts and daily security incidents.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations that improve clients’ security posture across managed security products.
  • Resolve client-escalated security tickets and collaborate with client teams to remediate security events.
  • Administer and maintain application, web, and infrastructure security controls.
  • Work with client stakeholders to align business and IT security objectives.
  • Partner with IT teams to investigate and address vulnerabilities, spam, viruses, spyware, and malware.
  • Monitor vulnerability intelligence from vendors and third parties.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and other third parties to improve information security.
  • Produce weekly, monthly, daily technical, and contract-deliverable status reports.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications management, electrical engineering, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with at least three security technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM, DLP, WAF, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, IPS/IDS, SOC operations, endpoint security, or malware protection.
  • Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and DIACAP frameworks.
  • Experience with Windows Server, VMware, UNIX platforms, and Linux.
  • Working knowledge of analyzing IIS, SQL, firewall, IPS/IDS, Windows, web, and mail log events.
  • Ability to troubleshoot network devices, vulnerabilities, attack patterns, Windows Event IDs, and IANA-assigned ports.
  • Strong written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills, including explaining complex information clearly.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical and business problems, make decisions across multiple variables, and manage multiple tasks or projects.
  • CISSP, CISA, GIAC, CCNP, CCNA, ITIL, Microsoft, Juniper, or Checkpoint certifications are preferred or a plus.
  • Experience managing PCI, HIPAA, or SSAE16 certification is preferred.
