Description

  • Provide expert cybersecurity advice to hedge fund and family office clients.
  • Review cybersecurity practices and develop realistic action plans.
  • Break down goals into actionable steps and implementation tasks.
  • Advise on vendor selection and oversight.
  • Create and implement security policies, procedures, and control measures.
  • Assess client progress using KPIs and scoring matrices.
  • Support technical operations across network, system, and application security.
  • Install and configure security tools such as firewalls and encryption programs.
  • Monitor network traffic and authentication logs to identify anomalies and incidents.
  • Lead vulnerability management, annual assessments, penetration tests, and emerging threat research.
  • Implement security best practices to address current and emerging threats.
  • Test and analyze business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Assess new security technologies for potential value.
  • Run incident response activities and respond to real-time alerts.
  • Generate real-time and historical security and compliance reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Sciences, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst at a hedge fund or family office.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, and operating a cybersecurity program for a leading hedge fund or family office.
  • One or more certifications such as CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GCIH, GNFA, GREM, or related SANS certifications.
  • Working experience with tools such as Splunk Cloud, Rapid7 Nexpose, Sophos Antivirus, Varonis DatAlert, or ForeScout CounterACT.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Azure, Active Directory, SQL, Office365, Windows Server, and Windows desktop operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of security event management, network security monitoring, attack investigation, packet analysis, log collection, and security event review.
  • Experience implementing or enforcing security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, or ISO.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills to communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
