Description

  • Prepare analytic-ready datasets by importing, transforming, merging, cleaning, and validating data using SQL and/or SAS.
  • Perform descriptive and basic statistical analyses of large patient and medical or pharmacy claims databases.
  • Develop and troubleshoot code, resolve data issues, and escalate high-risk methodological or client-impacting decisions.
  • Support economic and outcomes modeling, analysis plans, and client strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to concept proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and analysis plans.
  • Manage personal workflow and contribute directly to research and analysis activities.
  • Collaborate across analytics teams to identify innovative client solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, consistency, and reproducibility of analytic outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, epidemiology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of professional SAS or SQL programming experience.
  • Experience analyzing large public and private administrative pharmacy and medical claims databases.
  • Experience importing, transforming, cleaning, merging, editing, and quality-checking data.
  • Working knowledge of basic statistical techniques and/or econometrics.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, decision-making, and deadline-management skills.
  • Positive, flexible, self-motivated approach with strong teamwork skills in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Ability to work productively and independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
  • Healthcare policy and analysis experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing healthcare survey data, such as MEPS or MCBS, and interpreting basic statistical outputs preferred.
