Description

  • Work with product managers, designers, and clinical leaders to turn ambiguous problems into clear technical strategies and execution plans.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for complex initiatives that span multiple product teams and services.
  • Personally execute on the highest-priority and most technically challenging projects.
  • Define and evolve the architecture for core product areas, including member journeys, clinical workflows, and care coordination.
  • Design APIs, data models, and integration patterns that support new clinical and member experiences.
  • Drive reliability and performance improvements, including SLOs, capacity planning, and incident-ready designs.
  • Embed testability into designs through unit tests, functional tests, contract tests, and automated checks.
  • Ensure new features are instrumented with high-quality analytics in Mixpanel and that dashboards and monitoring reflect real outcomes.
  • Drive post-incident reviews and systemic improvements when issues occur.
  • Mentor engineers and help define engineering standards, coding conventions, architecture patterns, and documentation norms.

Requirements

  • ~8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time as a senior or staff individual contributor building production product experiences.
  • Track record of owning and shipping multi-team projects in modern web stacks.
  • Experience working closely with product and design on user-facing features.
  • Ability to lead technical decisions in ambiguous domains and explain tradeoffs clearly.
  • Strong full-stack skills across API design, data modeling, UI implementation, monitoring, and metrics.
  • Deep familiarity with at least one cloud provider and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Strong systems design instincts around reliability, performance, security, and cost.
  • Excellent debugging and incident-response skills using logs, traces, and data.
  • Ability to lead through influence across multiple teams without direct authority.
  • Experience in healthcare, digital health, or other regulated domains such as HIPAA, PHI, or SOC 2 is preferred.
  • Exposure to EHRs, wearable integrations, or other health data platforms is preferred.
