Description

  • Own day-to-day delivery across multiple provider engagements, including scopes, timelines, workplans, deliverables, and client communications.
  • Translate policy, reimbursement, and business model information into clear business impacts and actionable recommendations for provider executives, boards, and operating teams.
  • Produce client-ready deliverables such as strategic plans, policy briefs, market assessments, financial models, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Present findings and recommendations directly to clients and facilitate working sessions and workshops with provider leadership.
  • Ramp quickly onto new engagements with limited oversight and bring structure and ownership to ambiguous problems.
  • Analyze legislation, regulations, and payment policy affecting providers and assess strategic, operational, and financial implications.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including market scans, competitive analyses, financial modeling, business case development, and strategic growth planning.
  • Synthesize data into strategic insights, including analysis of large healthcare datasets such as Medicare claims, Medicaid data, encounter data, CMS public use files, and EHR/clinical data.
  • Monitor market, regulatory, and policy developments to keep client recommendations timely and relevant.
  • Contribute to proposals, scoping conversations, and new business pursuits for provider engagements.
  • Shape thought leadership through external publications, conference presentations, and commentary on provider strategy, policy, and market trends.
  • Identify reusable methodologies and assets from delivery work that can be developed into practice intellectual property.
  • Mentor and develop analysts and junior team members while modeling strong consulting craft and quality standards.

Requirements

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or healthcare provider/value-based care organizations.
  • Demonstrated growth into engagement leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare, with depth in Traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, PACE, complex care, long-term care, or provider strategy/operations.
  • Strong consulting craft, including structured problem-solving, hypothesis-driven analysis, and polished written and visual communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with pace and rigor.
  • Proven ability to perform market research, competitive analysis, financial modeling, business case development, and strategic growth planning.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and comfort working with data, developing models, and interpreting insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to senior executives and clients.
  • Ability to lead tasks, design and execute projects end-to-end, manage up and down effectively, and mentor junior team members.
  • High professional maturity, initiative, resourcefulness, ownership, and ability to come up quickly on unfamiliar topics.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Management consulting background at a top-tier firm is preferred.
  • Direct experience working with healthcare providers on strategic, operational, or value-based payment initiatives is preferred.
  • Direct exposure to value-based care models, managed care operations, technology and solution partners/vendors, drug reimbursement and pricing policy, or financial services intersecting with healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience working with large healthcare datasets, including cleaning, managing, and analyzing complex sources, is preferred.
  • Technology strategy experience, including business and technical requirements gathering, gap analysis, system selection, and implementation, is preferred.
  • MBA or other advanced degree in a business-oriented discipline is preferred.
