Description

  • Manage the purchasing process from supplier selection through procurement guidance.
  • Prepare, process, and maintain purchase orders, requisitions, and acquisition documentation.
  • Promote long-term savings and help reduce procurement costs.
  • Partner with IT on application adoption, license provisioning, security, privacy, and user onboarding/offboarding documentation.
  • Develop and track action plans for upcoming renewal dates.
  • Assist stakeholders in identifying tools that improve business effectiveness.
  • Build and manage preferred vendor selection and document the evaluation process.
  • Source, negotiate with, and engage suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Support RFPs, contracts, contract reviews, and risk assessments on agreements.
  • Evaluate purchasing and price trends to forecast demand and minimize costs.
  • Coordinate payment, delivery, scheduling, and ordering to maintain supply continuity.
  • Maintain long-term relationships with vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration, or a certification is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • In-depth knowledge of contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Experience working with vendors and external suppliers while maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to communicate, align deliverables and timelines, mediate issues, and negotiate win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to work comfortably with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills to evaluate bids and make recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, organization, and attention to detail skills.
