Description

  • Support security, privacy, governance, compliance, and data-protection activities across Microsoft 365 services.
  • Assist with data-readiness planning and Microsoft Purview integration to protect sensitive data.
  • Support management of user permissions, data retention, compliance configurations, and enterprise policies.
  • Document and manage security change requests and audit-logging solutions.
  • Support M365 security and cyber architecture activities.
  • Provide security and configuration support for SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Teams, Power Platform, Copilot, Azure/Azure AD, Intune, and AvePoint Online Services.
  • Support AvePoint security capabilities, including tenant-to-tenant configurations, Splunk Enterprise integration, customer-managed keys, IP restrictions, and SFTP interfaces.
  • Collaborate with systems support and technical teams to identify, mitigate, and document risks.
  • Prepare bi-weekly and monthly status reports covering action items, risks, mitigations, escalations, accomplishments, and closures.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 cloud services in a large corporate or government environment.
  • Experience supporting M365 security, compliance, governance, or privacy activities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Defender, Azure AD, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related M365 security capabilities.
  • Experience managing user permissions, data retention, compliance settings, and audit logging.
  • Experience with Power Platform security and governance concepts.
  • Experience creating or supporting PowerShell scripts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical and security issues across M365 and AvePoint Online Services.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to complete IRS MBI/security onboarding and required federal security training.
  • Experience with federal security processes, security change requests, cyber architecture, regulated or government M365 environments, risk tracking, mitigation planning, and technical documentation preferred.
