Description

  • Conduct HR best-practice reviews and develop practical action plans for client needs.
  • Design, implement, and manage firmwide HR programs, practices, and initiatives.
  • Develop HR policies, procedures, controls, and employee-relations guidance.
  • Use people analytics, KPIs, and scoring matrices to inform performance, hiring, development, compensation, bonus, and profit-sharing decisions.
  • Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws across hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Assess and manage employee compensation, benefits, leave, retirement, and insurance programs.
  • Partner with leaders on talent management, organizational design, succession, change management, onboarding, and development planning.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues, document corrective actions, and liaise with benefits carriers and government agencies as needed.
  • Maintain confidential, compliant employee records and represent clients in required hearings or investigations.
  • Advise on vendor selection, oversight, and other special HR projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of Director of Human Resources experience within an alternative asset firm, family office, or investment management company.
  • 5–10 years of HR generalist experience spanning all major HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services and investment management industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal HR legal, risk, regulatory, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations matters in partnership with legal, risk, compliance, and security teams.
  • Hands-on client-management experience with strategic HR issues, including talent management, organizational design and development, and change management.
  • Ability to analyze workforce data and use analytics to influence organizational and talent decisions.
  • MBA, master’s degree in Human Resource Management, advanced degree, or HR certification (preferred).
  • Availability to support project-based client engagements on an as-needed basis.
