Description

  • Design and independently conduct studies on the drivers of medication adherence and non-adherence using claims, enrollment, and supplemental data.
  • Build, fit, and interpret multivariable explanatory models to identify key factors and understand differences across populations, contracts, and performance years.
  • Quantify, size, and prioritize intervention and member-targeting opportunities based on impact, feasibility, and likely adoption.
  • Evaluate the impact of Arine's programs and interventions on adherence, quality, utilization, and cost outcomes using quasi-experimental and descriptive methods.
  • Explore, validate, and analyze real-world datasets while owning data quality and investigating anomalies before client delivery.
  • Translate analyses into clear recommendations and polished client-facing deliverables such as executive decks, reports, and briefings.
  • Present findings to internal stakeholders, including executives, and participate in reviews of study design and analytic methods.
  • Apply the appropriate level of analytic rigor for each decision, from exploratory analysis to quasi-experimental design.
  • Partner closely with clinicians, data scientists, operations leads, engineering, and client stakeholders on cross-functional research work.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Economics, Health Economics, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Statistics, or a related quantitative field; PhD preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience conducting population-level research with real-world healthcare data such as medical and pharmacy claims.
  • Experience researching medication adherence and outcomes across commercial, Medicare Advantage, or Medicaid Managed Care populations.
  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, R, and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Strong applied statistics experience with multivariable models, feature and variable selection, and distinguishing correlation from causation.
  • Working knowledge of causal inference methods for observational data, including difference-in-differences and matching.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and problem-solve under deadlines and ambiguity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Must live in and be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Familiarity with CMS Star Ratings, Part D adherence measures, SUPD, SPC, HEDIS, or Medicaid quality measures (preferred).
  • Understanding of medication therapy classes and clinically appropriate alternatives, such as antihypertensive and diabetes regimens (preferred).
  • Familiarity with social determinants of health, clinical comorbidity indices, behavioral health indicators, ICD-10, and NDC (preferred).
  • Experience producing client-facing deliverables and presenting to external or executive stakeholders (preferred).
  • Prior experience in managed care, pharma, or a high-growth health-tech or start-up environment (preferred).
  • Familiarity with time-to-event and survival analysis for adherence and persistence measures (preferred).
  • Advanced causal and quasi-experimental methods such as target-trial emulation, regression discontinuity, synthetic control, or instrumental variables (bonus).
  • Experience estimating heterogeneous treatment effects or conducting subgroup analyses with data science teams (bonus).
  • Ability to connect adherence to downstream utilization and total cost of care through economic modeling (bonus).
  • Familiarity with cost-effectiveness, budget-impact analysis, avoidable-spend attribution, or translating quality gains into plan economics (bonus).
  • Experience designing and analyzing experiments such as A/B tests or stepped-wedge rollouts (bonus).
