Description

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated tests for web applications, APIs, databases, and integrated systems.
  • Develop test strategies, plans, and automation approaches aligned with delivery and quality objectives.
  • Build reusable test scripts, utilities, components, and scalable automation frameworks.
  • Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, end-to-end, user story, accessibility, load, performance, and scalability testing.
  • Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to provide continuous quality feedback.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and testers during backlog refinement and sprint planning.
  • Document acceptance criteria, defects, testing steps, risks, coverage, and actionable quality recommendations in the ticketing system.
  • Support the team’s Definition of Done by validating test coverage, execution results, and release readiness.
  • Analyze test results and identify defects, risks, and opportunities to improve software quality.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years using automation tools to test systems and applications and writing and executing test scripts.
  • 3+ years of experience with automation testing tools; Playwright preferred.
  • Experience developing test automation strategies and frameworks from the ground up.
  • Experience with functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with database and API testing.
  • Experience with Docker containers and testing containerized applications.
  • Experience creating reusable automation solutions and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience collaborating across functional teams, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination.
  • Preferred: GraphQL, federal contracting, .NET, Azure Cloud, performance testing, accessibility testing with screen readers, or DHS Trusted Tester Certification.
