Description

  • Own hardware bring-up, functional checks, and diagnostics for new prototype hardware and assemblies.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical and mechanical integration issues in robotic hand systems.
  • Develop and execute calibration procedures for hand kinematics and dynamics to align hardware with the control stack.
  • Conduct verification testing at both the component and full-assembly levels to validate performance, durability, and reliability.
  • Own the development, build, and maintenance of HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testbeds for rapid hardware and software verification.
  • Record, analyze, and report test results, and provide data-driven feedback and bug reports to design teams.
  • Serve as the technical bridge between mechanical design, electrical engineering, and autonomy teams.
  • Bring complex, highly articulated robotic hands from CAD to physical implementation, including sensor integration and wire-harness routing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in hardware integration, testing, and validation for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Experience in robotics, aerospace, or automotive is preferred.
  • Hands-on expertise with hardware bring-up, measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies, and debugging interfaces.
  • Understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics for calibration work.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python or MATLAB and technical documentation software.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • A meticulous, detail-oriented approach to testing and documentation.
  • Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including lifting up to 15 pounds and working at a desk for prolonged periods.
