Description

  • Design, implement, optimize, and monitor cloud security architectures and configurations across GCP, Azure, and AWS.
  • Review, investigate, and resolve SIEM and other security alerts as a Level-2 Security Operations team member.
  • Expand security alerting, reporting, and attack-surface visibility with the Security Operations team.
  • Provide SaaS security guidance covering IAM, encryption, API security, and secure configuration baselines.
  • Lead firewall, access, and system reviews, risk assessments, security assessments, and compliance gap analyses.
  • Support customer security questionnaires, calls, and workshops; create network, architecture, and data-flow diagrams.
  • Lead incident response plan initiatives and provide analysis and remediation strategies for cloud security incidents.
  • Ensure cloud environments align with GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, and CSA STAR requirements.
  • Research emerging cloud security threats, technologies, and best practices.
  • Maintain weekday availability from 8 a.m.–5 p.m. EDT and participate in evening and weekend on-call shifts as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of progressive cloud security engineering experience.
  • 4+ years securing, configuring, and supporting Azure and GCP cloud environments.
  • 4+ years supporting a security operations center, managing security alerts, configuring SIEMs, and creating custom alerts.
  • CISSP certification is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or GCP security services, including Entra ID and Azure cloud features.
  • Experience scripting with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in SaaS security, network security, multi-cloud IAM, and cloud security best practices.
  • Knowledge of GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, CMMC, and other compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, container security, or DevSecOps practices is preferred.
