Description

  • Analyze user needs and software requirements, then develop feasible solutions within time and cost constraints.
  • Design, develop, and modify software specifications and performance standards.
  • Develop scalable applications and contribute to all stages of software development, including design, implementation, and testing.
  • Develop or direct software system testing, validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Architect solutions to performance bottlenecks and technical limitations.
  • Build infrastructure initiatives, optimize cloud compute and storage costs, and help design new cloud projects.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to define software limitations, capabilities, interfaces, and performance requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software for autonomy and mobility products, including behavior and motion planning for off-road vehicles.
  • Work across the technology stack in full-stack development, infrastructure, simulation, and testing.
  • Create collision-avoidance behavior and motion planning systems that are safe, efficient, robust, and scalable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer at an autonomous technology company.
  • At least 2 years of experience with C++, search algorithms, path planning, motion planning algorithms, obstacle avoidance, behavior trees, finite state machines, Markov decision processes, ROS, MPC, LQR, PID, and Linux.
  • Experience working on autonomy, mobility, or related software systems.
  • Experience with full-stack development, infrastructure, simulation, or testing is preferred.
  • Ability to work in an in-office environment, primarily from an Applied Intuition office 5 days a week, with occasional remote flexibility.
  • Willingness to work on complex infrastructure and autonomy problems.
