Description

  • Design and implement security standards and tools across Kubernetes fleets, major cloud providers, on-prem environments, and air-gapped environments.
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect internal and external systems, networks, and data.
  • Build product features that help customers manage access and usage of Applied Intuition products.
  • Develop and implement processes that comply with legal and ethical standards and protect customer data.
  • Own technical decisions and contribute to the security architecture for secure, reliable systems.
  • Collaborate with global Infrastructure, Security, and Authentication teams across regions.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholders and external customers to gather feedback and support evolving security requirements.
  • Help define technical standards and encourage security best practices across product and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering focused on secure, production-grade backend systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proficiency in Go, Python, or C++, with at least 3 years of backend development experience.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes security, including securing containerized workloads, implementing RBAC, and managing secrets with cloud-native secret managers.
  • Experience deploying, operating, and securing systems on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including identity management, workload isolation, and audit logging.
  • Proven ability to independently drive secure system development from concept to production (zero-to-one).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain security trade-offs and architectural decisions across teams.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure, including networking, access control, IaaS, and SIEM tools (nice to have).
  • Experience implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems (nice to have).
  • Direct experience working with customers and shipping features for enterprise software (nice to have).
