Description

  • Design and architect AppGate ZTNA deployments to meet customer requirements in Federal environments.
  • Operate and troubleshoot Linux-based Zero Trust enforcement infrastructure directly over SSH.
  • Build, maintain, and debug Bash, PowerShell, and JavaScript automation and client-side scripts.
  • Develop and troubleshoot REST API integrations with identity, ITSM, logging, NGFW, SIEM/SOAR, and security platforms.
  • Integrate AppGate ZTNA with identity providers, Active Directory, PKI, DNS, and authentication systems such as SAML, OIDC, RADIUS, and LDAP/LDAPS.
  • Architect access enforcement for containerized and microservices workloads, including Kubernetes networking, ingress, egress, and sidecar/operator models.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code workflows using Terraform, GitOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support STIG, SCAP, RMF, and ATO efforts by producing technical evidence and explaining findings to assessors.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex Federal deployments and lead deep technical architecture reviews.
  • Mentor senior Solution Architects and engineers and influence product direction around automation, integration, and operability.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in networking, security, systems, platform, or automation engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Linux systems administration, REST APIs, and automation.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, PKI, SAML/OIDC, and other identity systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux networking internals, including routing, policy routing, interface binding, traffic steering, and iptables/nftables.
  • Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or GCP, including native networking and IAM policy enforcement.
  • Experience supporting Federal or other high-assurance environments.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • Ability to work extended hours or flextime as needed, including more than 40 hours per week when required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, potentially exceeding 50% depending on the project.
  • Architect-level familiarity with VMware, ESXi, KVM, containers, Kubernetes, VPNs, DDIL environments, and network security technologies is desirable.
