Description

  • Manage, categorize, prioritize, assign, and monitor information security tickets through resolution.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve tickets within established SLAs.
  • Serve as the initial contact for security events and conduct tier 1 triage before escalating to SecOps.
  • Provide technical support to users and internal teams for security-related issues.
  • Assist with deploying and configuring security tools using predefined processes.
  • Document resolutions, workarounds, and security procedures for knowledge-base development.
  • Review and improve ticket-management processes, including prioritization, escalation, and resolution practices.
  • Generate reports on ticket metrics, trends, recurring issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Support employee security awareness training and collaborate with the GRC team on best-practice programs.
  • Maintain current security documentation and communicate ticket status and concerns to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, security operations, or a related field.
  • Experience managing information security or IT ticketing systems.
  • Strong understanding of information security principles, common threats, and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot security incidents and issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical issues to nontechnical users.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Critical-thinking and efficient problem-solving abilities.
  • CompTIA Security+, ITIL, or similar certification preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in remote or hybrid environments using tools such as Slack, Zoom, and G Suite.
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring, or people development preferred.
