Description

  • Own test planning, execution, and reporting with minimal supervision.
  • Collect test data and perform initial analysis for systems under test.
  • Conduct the full test process, including requirements review, test planning, safety reviews, test readiness reviews, execution, and reporting.
  • Perform system testing of UAS systems and ground systems in simulated and field environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret test data, identify system behavior, and drive product and process improvements.
  • Manage test range usage and coordinate with external agencies to support testing activities.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering.
  • 5+ years of test engineering experience, general engineering experience with ground systems, or similar experience.
  • Ability to immediately obtain a U.S. Top Secret-level security clearance.
  • Experience producing customer-facing test deliverables such as test plans, flight readiness reviews, data analysis, and test reports.
  • Experience as a test conductor and/or test director, or similar range event leadership experience.
  • General knowledge of test execution safety and risk management.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, especially in terminal guidance and autonomous systems.
  • Experience conducting data analysis that informed engineering decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to travel for testing-related activities as needed and work additional hours as needed.
  • Preferred: direct experience with UAS design or operational deployment.
  • Preferred: experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Preferred: advanced knowledge of UAV testing methodologies and data analysis.
  • Preferred: professional experience with programming languages such as Go, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Preferred: experience with Linux operating systems.
  • Preferred: experience using AI to enhance workflow and work capacity.
