Description

  • Build full-stack web applications for daily production planning, work assignment, and team-lead dashboards.
  • Develop offline-capable, mobile-friendly interfaces for network-constrained factory environments.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineers and factory operators to translate production workflows into software requirements.
  • Write production-quality code, including tests, and participate in code review and architectural discussions.
  • Design and implement offline-first architectures and data synchronization strategies with conflict resolution.
  • Build responsive, touch-optimized interfaces for tablets and mobile devices used in harsh manufacturing environments.
  • Deploy and operate systems in factory environments, including edge compute clusters and OT networks.
  • Join an on-call rotation supporting production factory systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with backend, data, factory systems, and operations teams.
  • Set technical direction and mentor junior engineers on resilient, user-centered manufacturing software.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a software engineering role building production systems.
  • Deep expertise in full-stack web development across frontend and backend systems.
  • Strong technical fluency in modern software architectures, APIs, distributed systems, CI/CD, and cloud or edge infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, and modern web frameworks.
  • Experience building offline-capable web applications using service workers, IndexedDB, local storage, and PWA patterns.
  • Experience building reliable systems under real-world operational constraints such as high availability, low latency, or constrained environments.
  • Experience working with large enterprise applications and platforms with high availability requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • U.S. Person status is required for access to export-controlled data.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or OT-adjacent domains such as MES, SCADA, PLC integration, factory automation, or IoT (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience building mobile-first or offline-capable web applications for industrial or field environments (preferred).
  • Experience with data synchronization, conflict resolution, and eventual consistency models in distributed systems (preferred).
  • Familiarity with frontier AI tooling and AI-enabled software development workflows (preferred).
  • Experience in hyper-growth startup-like environments balancing speed, ambiguity, and long-term system health (preferred).
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, WMS, or manufacturing planning systems (preferred).
  • Experience designing UX/UI for non-desk workers and rugged, touch-optimized device interfaces (preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with hands-on exposure to assembly lines or production environments (preferred).
  • Understanding of edge computing architectures and deployment patterns for factory floor applications (preferred).
  • Experience with GraphQL, real-time subscriptions, or WebSocket-based architectures (preferred).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance (preferred).
